A Palace. Three Wings. Two Experiences.

A majestic 18th-century Summer Palace surrounded by salt flats combines a private residence with a contemporary art foundation, along the three main wings of the original building.

Through a carefully crafted intervention, the contrasting dialogue between pure restoration and contemporary architecture is proudly celebrated throughout the building fabric and its surroundings.

PALACE
1.3.2

A small extension comprising a sculptural external lift and a viewpoint to the salt flats create the only external modifications to the appearance of the palace beyond the restoration of the facade.

Bespoke timber and stone joinery create new shapes throughout the palace, following the same materiality as the original elements of the building fabric.
